Name of first trailer analysis: Wonder women

The first trailer analysis i did is called Wonder women, the title of the film in the trailer was shown at the end of the trailer, this follows the traditional conventions and also excites people and encourages people to finish watching the trailer to see the name of the film.  Credits also appeared in the first 30 seconds, this includes Warner bros, as this has a good and popular reputation, it also encourages people to watch it which is why crediting warner and placing it in the trailer is important. Moreover, within just 30 seconds i could tell it is a film of action and fantasy, this targets a wide range of audience straight away. From watching this trailer 3 times, i was engaged and interested in the story line and how they portrayed wonder women as superior,strong and brave. It starts of with wonder women as a child and her mother, and then moves onto her as a young adult, this fade editing showed us the close relationship between her and her mother and how they are the protagonists in the film.
Through wonder women's facial expressions she seems determined to reach her goals that she will train as hard as she can, this already lets us know what sort of characteristics she has.
This trailer also shows us the obstacles and complications she had to face, in just a matter of minutes as it was fast pace editing. They showed how hard she had to train and was occasionally hurt causing her pain, which is one of the complications she had to face through-out the film.  However the main protagonist wonder women face ups to her obstacles and keeps on training hard against her own mother.

Name of second trailer analysis: Okja

The second film i analysed is called Okja which i watched using IMDb, when i watched the trailer one time only i already had a wide range of information gathered as there are many clues as to what the genre is. I could straight away tell it is a adventure and action video due to the running and past paste editing. The trailer also used many large bold words to describe what the story will contain, for example words such as"UNEXPECTED" and "EYE-POPPING" action words were used in cold to excite the audience when watching the trailer. In a similar manner to Wonder women the film title also follows traditional conventions by placing the title of the film at the end for a few seconds. The protagonist of the film is very obvious making it easy to understand, in thus case it was a young girl who appeared several times, to make the trailer interesting, complications and problems were faced by the young girl, in which she had to save her best friend which is an elephant, due to her being young and naive it would be a struggle as she may not have as much power and voice to be heard as an adult would have. Whilst she was running and panicking the camera had a few close up angles the show the young gils facial expressions to show a sense of fear and mystery.

Introduction

Throughout AS i further developed a passion and love for media. By continuing media all the way through A2 i feel very excited as to what new things i learn. As i have learned new skills in AS i hope these skills become useful when creating my coursework, as i will be working in a group i feel this way there will be more ideas and views that will help contribute to the making of the trailer. I have also improved my time management in regards to coursework which would be useful in creating my coursework this year. I am now also much more organised with planning and researching which is something i improved during AS.
